About PARENTise
PARENTise is my baby. I started the site right after the birth of my oldest daughter. As a new Mom – I felt a lot of pressure to choose the right things for my daughter. At the time – I didn’t have a lot of friends with kids so I was embarking on new territory without much help. I joined some local Mom’s Groups and a few message boards – and the one thing that remained consistent was that people asked each other questions. Questions about everything – from what pediatrician do you recommend to what summer camp are you sending your kids to?
Just a few months into this parenting gig – I realized that I was hearing the same questions over and over again – yet when I searched the internet for information I couldn’t find any quality reviews on the services and products that parents use and need!
So PARENTise was born. The idea is simple – a reliable straightforward database of reviews based on the experiences of other parents. But I didn’t just want to hear rants and raves – I wanted to be able to compare the reviews to each other. So I started cataloging the different questions that I was hearing and then I hit the streets. I started asking other parents what was important to them about their pediatrician, OB, day care, summer camp, etc. And that is how we set our ratings criteria.

About Me
I’m a Mom to 2 girls – they’re really awesome and exhausting! I’ve lived in the Philadelphia area for almost 15 years now. I went to college here and only left when I went to Graduate School. My husband is local born and bred – he works for a family business in the area in addition to reffing hockey and being an all around great husband and father.
I work full-time outside of the home. When we are together as a family we keep busy doing a lot of different things with the kids so that they can have varied experiences. I’m not an expert in parenting – I don’t pretend to be – but I do have PARENTise – and I”m happy to tell you what I think!
