What is PARENTise?
PARENTise is designed to provide you with answers to questions you have about the products and services you want to use for your kids. From day cares and summer camps to SAT tutors and swimming classes we’ve got it all!
Why would I need to use your site?
PARENTise is about helping parents find information about products and services they use for their families. We know that today’s families are busy and that information is thrown at us in multiple ways every minute of every day. When it comes to choosing products and services for our families – we rely on information from other parents. We ask questions and want information that we can use. That’s where PARENTise comes in. Instead of focusing on what businesses have to say about their products and services – we focus on what PARENTS have to say about the products and services they’ve used.
What will I get if I leave a rating?
Honest information in the form of criteria based reviews. We’ll help you compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges. Reviews on our site will be written based on set criteria so you know why a service gets 5 stars and why another only gets 1 star. By leaving a rating – you’re helping a community of parents make educated decisions about the products and services they choose for their kids. We’ve all had bad experiences and great ones – and we’d like to help other parents avoid making the same mistakes we’ve made and at the same time make finding the good ones easier.
Who is behind PARENTise?
Since the inception of PARENTise it’s grown from a one woman show to a collaboration of parents. Our community of parents have come together to write our blog posts, identify new business, participate in brand related events and projects and of course to connect with eachother!
How do I use PARENTise for my family?
Stop by for a visit and take a look around. We recommend that you start by revieiwing ratings that other parents have left for services you currently use. See what other parents have to say about your daycare, swim class or SAT Prep program. Then, let us know what you think. Do you agree with the other reviews? Have you had a different experience? Fill out our easy to use ratings form and let us know! The best thing is that if your impression of the service or product you rated changes over time – you can come back and change your rating! Stop by often – you’ll get ideas for new and fun things to do with your family from our blog. You’ll get access to special deals from our brand partners and you’ll be part of a community – that wants to know what you think!
Is PARENTise a “free” website?
PARENTise is a “free” website – we don’t charge parents to join, read or leave a rating. PARENTise raises money through advertising fees, consulting services, special events and other programs that we develop in order to connect businesses with our parent community.
We believe in “blogging with integrity” and will clearly disclose all affiliate links, paid posts and sponsored content.
Can I really tell the truth about a service we’ve used? I didn’t have a good experience – but I don’t want to upset anyone.
Please tell the truth about your experiences. That’s what PARENTise is all about. We want to help other parents avoid using products and services that don’t live up to expectations. We ask that you leave a rating that is honest and based on YOUR experience. I f you have a friend, neighbor or family member that had a negative experience – please ask them to leave the rating – we don’t allow third party ratings. If you leave a negative rating and we receive information that it is not accurate – we will contact to let you know that we will be removing the rating. We’ve not had to do this yet – and we hope we don’t but we believe that we must be fair to both our parent community and our business community. Also, please remember that there are consequences for posting false information – but those consequences don’t exist when you post honest information.
I’ve heard that PARENTise gives back. What does that mean?
At PARENTise we believe that a healthy community is a key to raising healthy children. We give back to communities nationally, locally and worldwide by finding family and/or child related charities and programs to give back to. 10% of all profits raised by PARENTise are given back to charitable organizations. I f you have an organization that we should include in our “give back” let us know. Email givingback at PARENTise dot com.
I ’m a business owner – how can I get my products/services rated on your sites?
As a business owner you can add your business information to our database. We encourage that – it’s a good way to work with parents to leave their thoughts about your products and services. Once your site is listed – we recommend asking your customers to visit the site and leave a rating. We can provide you with electronic content that you can send to your customers and are happy to partner with you to get your information included on our site!
I ’m a business owner and I don’t agree with what one of your members has to say about my services. It’s simply not accurate! What can I do?
Here at PARENTise we do not edit any of the ratings that are left by our parents members. We will however work with business owners if information posted is false or misleading. I f you have questions or comments about a rating that has been left about your products or services – let us know by emailing editor at PARENTise dot com. Please remember that the ratings that are left on our site are the opinions of your customers. We understand that not every experience can be perfect – which is why we encourage you to engage with your customers and ask them to leave reviews about your services.
We’re interested in advertising on your site – how can we do that?

What is the PARENTise Thumbs Up Program?
The PARENTise Thumbs Up program is our way of recognizing businesses that receive consistenly excellent review from our parent community. Organizations and brands that receive the PARENTise Thumbs Up have received more than 15 reviews and have a 4+ star rating. When you see the PARENTise “Thumbs Up” you know that the product or service you’re interested in has been Parent Approved!
