Alright - it’s my turn to host the Best of the Mommy Bloggers Carnival and I am excited to be hosting. It’s great timing - the weather has turned for the better here on the East Coast. The days are getting longer and longer and I’m feeling more and more productive as my 8 month old let’s me get slightly more sleep each and every day!

Susana starts us off with a post about flying with children. I haven’t done it yet, but I am smart enough to not want to do it. This post is worth reading for the laughs, and for the picture. Stop by A Modern Mother to check it out.

Laura from Ziggy’s Blogs wrote about “huffing” a scary fad amongst the teenage set that involves harsh chemicals and inhaling. If you’re the parent of teenager or pre-teens, this is a must read.

Amber from Because Babies Grow Up wrote about the beginning skills for literacy. This was a really interesting post - I know I learned something and got a little tip about how to start teaching my little one to read!

Over at Project Happily Ever After - Alisa wrote about capitalism and the under 5 set. Yes, it’s alive and well - and if if you want to stimulate the economy just take her daughter out to Target! Definitely a fun read - and it reinforced my budgeting urge.

Over at “Rylee for Life” Dawn posted the first of a 2 part series about adopting a child. I can’t wait to read part two! Believe me you’ll want to read more too.

Rosana over at the Chronicles of Momnia added some new words to my vocabulary. If you’ve never heard of the Vollmerhausen Double Wipe than you should read this post. It is familiar territory to Mom’s of toddlers but when it’s not happening to you it’s so much funnier!

Are you a list maker? Well, maybe you should be. Jennifer at Becoming Domestic has a host of reasons why it might be good for you. For me - it’s just good to know that there are others out there that have as many lists as I do. Now if I could just find where I put that one…
